I just slept on the last Raf backpack on oki-ni (at 70 pc off) thinking I might wait for the next 10 pc code. The more I play this game of waiting to make sure I get the very last item at the absolute lowest price, the more I think that this is idiotic and unsatisfying. Maybe if you want sth just get it while it's available and whenever it's reached a price that you are willing to pay for it. If it becomes cheaper after that, what the hell.

^^ This is what I meant. and yea I don't need it badly at all, and I think it will get there thats why I was asking

During Mr Porter sale you need to checkout your item as fast as possible. Everyone is looking for the best possible deal. If you spend time searching for other items the one item you desired the most will be gone. This has happened to me in the past and I learnt my lesson.

whoa, are they closing permanently? had no idea. some great deals to be had; randomly walked in and snagged some CP combat boots for $200 last week.

Huckberry is having another sale on forum favorite Apolis

Noteworthy because they still have the wool chore coat and waxed french work jacket in stock.

Huckberry sent me one of the french work jackets to take on Styleforum's Japan expedition, but before I left it was also my most-worn piece of spring outerwear. Lightweight (you can even roll the sleeves), effective water-repellent finish, and plenty of mobility for hiking, driving, or just looking cool. If you're looking for a piece of showerproof outerwear, I highly recommend this one.

photos courtesy of my girlfriend, who wouldn't stop making fun of me. more importantly, feast your eyes on my adorable shibas.

ya I've heard the stories and read the reviews. its mostly the owner and his attitude I'm sure trickles down to the employees like a trickle down effect. i feel like the owner and employees judge you right off the bat based on your face, body type, what clothes your wearing etc, and based on that decide how they are going to treat you

however, I've never had a problem there personally, and have found some amazing deals, so i will continue to shop there

I used to go there when I lived in Cambridge, and I got to know the guys who ran Cncpts as well as the owner (we still run into one another at tradeshows), so customer service was "good" for me, insofar that they'd chat, I'd get a nice discount, etc... However, imo, good customer service is always:

1) Consistent

2) Knowledgeable

3) Sensitive

and The SAs at the Tannery were typically lacking in one or more of these qualities.  All employee problems are management problems.  Staff have to be properly trained, and then expected to behave in a certain way.  The tone is different for different stores, but consistency, being knowledgeable about the product, and sensitivity to a customers needs, are always key.  If anyone starts thinking that the rules don't apply to them, or that they can run the shop as a private club, which happened there regularly, they should get tossed.  If you want to be the boss, you can't have any friends, sorry.  You can be friendly, but any boss who wants friends may as well just not bother.

So I ordered a pair of CP's from Dope-Factory from the sale posted here and they sent me the wrong shoe and wrong size. I've already paid $70 in customs in receiving it and I've yet to receive a response back from them with regards to the error. They don't have the shoe i ordered in my size anymore and I imagine it will be quite expensive to ship back. How long should I wait before I take further action and do I escalate with pay pal or just do a charge back?

Here's a link to a few pairs of CPs for 180 shipped. Few sizes left.

A month ago, I went after work to check out a pair of Aldens. When I asked a floor associate for a pair in my size, he looks up-and-down at me and says, "Those are $500".
