When I see Unionmade put up these relatively large sales (large as in quite a bit of merchandise), it always makes me wonder how much they actually sell at regular price?

How do they fit? I know they make a lot of Epaulet's shirts. Is the fit the same / similar?

Managed to pick up an RRL workshirt I'd regretted missing out on plus a Merz B. Schwanen henley. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Now buyers ain't buying (too savvy, too cynical) and sellers ain't selling (too greedy). The same stuff stays listed for months on end. It's really terrible, but I digress.

How about posting that yoox code?

There is a 20 percent yoox code, don't they usually post on their site

This is happening in all forums, including other "Hobbies". Just basic economics.. Imo

I'd agree with that. Why would I buy something on the forum when I can find it for the same price or better at one of a billion online retailers? That won't hold true for niche products but the marketplace isn't exactly screaming with unique merchandise.

I guess it just depends. The deals on Vass shoes on B&S have been pretty incredible lately. Lots of sub-$400 Vass being sold.

The CM section certainly has a fair bit of activity.  SWD is at a wierd spot.  Sellers have an extremely high opinion of the value of their goods, especially given a customer base that is highly deal oriented.  I wish that we could still implement that "no bumps without a price drop" that we had years ago in order to forcibly correct the market.  I see guys trying to sell used jeans for under 30% off the retail.  How does anyone expect this to sell when a) the jeans are still available new, for not that much more, and b) customers are conditioned to expect to be able to buy things at the end of the season at 30-50% off. c) I love jeans, but c'mon, a pair of jeans is not that unique a product, and sizing is very specific.  So you are offering a not particular unique product to a very small audience (guys who take a specific size in jeans and also want jeans), for a high price, in a climate that expects low prices.  Makes me insane.  The CM guys generally seem to know how to price, either for immediate sale, or as a negotiating point, a lot better.

Less navel gazing, more sales.

I was told 40%

The New England shirts that Epaulet carries are a special cut just for Epaulet and are a bit more trim than the ones that UM carries, which are basically the same fabrics and cuts you will find at 95% of the places that carry New England shirts. I have a couple from UM and a couple from a local store and they fit me fine, I ordered one from Epaulet in the same size but had to return it as it was just a bit tight through the chest and especially in the biceps... and it's not as if I am musclebound.

I think looking at the measurements are the way to go. Some of the size large UM New England Shirt Company shirts have 21.5" chest measurements, which is more in line with a typical medium.
