BTW, anyone have any of the New England Shirt Co shirts that UM carries?

I have some from previous seasons in a S that are great. Tried some a few weeks ago in store and they fit slimmer. S was slightly too tight (but M still too baggy). YMMV of course

Gravity Pope apparently has a Buy One Get One sale in stores only. Anyone have deets or want to proxy?

"Buy One Get One begins today! In-store only. Visit one of our locations:http://bit.ly/1sg3HMG"

Yes, Got couple of things from UM last time around (Nov - which was a much better sale in terms of prices) and shipping hurts. Turns a good deal into an OK deal - esp. if things you are getting are not very expensive. Still good stuff and happy with the purchase.

I find the measurements on the UM website to be unreliable. What are other people's experience with relying on their measurements?

Shipping is a negative for me.

Agree.  The fact that the measurments are so detailed provides a false sense of security.

Got a sweater and shirt based on measurements. Sweater is perfect. Shirt fits a bit tight.

Yes. Picked up a blue madras and blue design linen shirt in mediums and they fit me perfectly. And I agree that the UM measurements are not always accurate. They are close but not always on the mark. Picked up a Beams+, 2 New Englands and a Gitman Bros Vintage flannel and they all fit well. I just stay with my size. Maybe I got lucky...

Ordered an RRL workmans shirt and Nigel Cabourn Medical shirt yesterday so fingers crossed on the measurements.

Ah, the seasonal Unionmade website/order fulfillment/measurement shitshow.

Cheers for the replies on UM shirts guys.  I find their size charts are generally good so I'm ruling out the New Englands.  Probably a bit too snug which is too bad because they always seem to have some classic looking styles.

Well I hope you noted the Medical Shirt's length.  They run quite long.  Rather unfortunate too because the shirt is constructed really well with a think oxford cloth.

I did and was hoping it was one of UM's mistakes...But I can always have a good tailor alter the length, yes?

I can't remember if that would work with the shirt.  IIRC it wouldn't, but it's a matter of preference at the end of the day.
