Independence dropped sale items to 50% off.   Some decent stuff, but what's left is going fast.

I need some opinions on re-soling a pair of Common Projects combat boots... If you ever got a pair of boots done how much did it cost you? I want to get them done by this guy in LA he does amazing work but it's $200, is that high, or normal for quality work? I'll be getting a new midsole and a vibram half sole.

agreed.... even in LA. Never had resoles done here, but I have had some minor stuff done here well and affordably. just an idea... give him a call. Armando is extremely personable and pretty straight forward. He actually refused some work from me one time suggesting I call AE first and bust their balls about fixing the issue for me for free. He said "if they won't do it, then bring it back and I'll see what I can do." Fixed it in less than 24 hours and charged me 10 bucks.

btw... having no idea where you are in town this may be entirely convenient or inconvenient, but it's about 2 mins from my place so naturally was the first to come to mind. anyway... good luck!

Though some people didn't like how it looked, the guy who did the resoling on my side-zips undoubtedly did it really well quality-wise and that cost me like 80$

For $200, you rather top up a little more and get a pair when its goes on sale or pops over on b&s. Too pricey. You might want to look at this SZ thread http://stylezeitgeist.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7128

I don't know what you mean, recommending me to just buy a different pair of boots?

Yes, he's saying that $200 is too much because you could almost buy a new pair for that.

They go for around $400 on sale and retailed around $600, they are a fairly expensive boot defiantly not near $200 price range. Price really does not matter as much as the quality does and I think they're a very nice boot. I also can not find a pair that I like more then them for less $1200.

What are prices like? More than the 50% off that the website has now?
