So they ship via post and not Fedex or UPS like their website says?

I need to know this too. My total was $180. Its being shipped via ups. Did they declare the value you paid or the value of the orginal price? If thats the case, I bought those red Balenciaga denim.

Really...if you buy something no matter what the original price the value of it is the money you paid for it. It's common sense, it doesn't matter what country a store can not value something higher than what's it's sold for, if they do its they're responsible or the shipping company is responsible for giving you a refund customs duties if you have to pay. Almost every country has a base value of when you have to pay customs fees and its 200. I don't understand why people just don't google this shit, there's multiple websites that you can calculate what your going to pay by putting in value, country being shipped to, country it's shipped from and shipping company.

I guess you have never dealt with end.

Customs is a crap shoot.

Some days the customs officers are on the their game and some days your package may go in front of an officer that drank too much the night before and is sending everything through without checking it.

Websites are not a definitive guides as to what will happen with your package.  They are more of a perfect world se

200 is a nice leeway, at least it's not $20 we have here.

Seriously, <$20 or a +31% duties/tax + brokerage fee.

I've only paid customs on one knit that was a little over $300 with shipping and it was around 45 from ups. I've dealt with ln-cc, wrong weather, farfetch, tres bien and ra-shop and I've never had to pay customs for items that I paid under $200. Maybe your right about customs only one I thought I might have trouble with was wrong weather but I emailed customer service before ordering that I've heard bad shit about them marking things wrong. And since then I've had nothing but good things from them. Out of every webshop they have the fastest shipping and processing orders. I think it helps emailing customer service prior to your order, it only takes a couple minutes and saves you for any future hassle.

I think about it this way I was a server in a restaurant and if a customer had a certain concern about their order prior to me putting it in. I can only imagine how much more of an annoyance they're gonna be if there's something wrong with their order after I serve them.

That's my advice if you're really concerned that your going to have to pay for customs fees because I seriously doubt that these companies process hundreds of orders a day.

I dont email asking if they could lower the value. Its illegal for them to do it and I would not want someone to ask me to do anything illegal.

From my limited knowledge I have come to the conclusion that value of the package is the value the sender declares for insurance purposes.

I have bought items from END at a discount only for them to declare the full purchase price and the price they shipped it to me. They even did this when I got free shipping. I know shipping is not free but are you as petty enough to declare the shipping you paid.

I only ask to get a since of how the firm operates.

It's ok to ask in my opinion, just don't throw a fit or bitch about "poor" customer service when they aren't willing to do it.

I never said anything about asking them to lower the value but actually valuing the item properly.
