Tones. The military green has an "ash" tone, and goes well with indigo that has a fair bit of sulfur in it, but otherwise, it doesn't work. Likewise, it doesn't work with indigo with a fair bit of red in the dye, like, say APC jeans, at least, unwashed. Navy can work with denim, you just have to find the right tones. It's not even the shade. It's the tone. A cool off primary doesn't work with a warm off primary.

Cheers,

Fok.

Stick with Uniqlo (0)
Toasy I know what you mean, sticking with Uniqlo for OCBDs. But the Uniqlo flannels and extra fine cloth shirts are seriously lacking. So i'm looking for some regular stuff. Shit like this

http://shop.creaturesofcomfort.us/Gitman-Brothers-Vintage-Key-Collar-Plaid-Shirt-Red-Blue.aspx

I have no clue how to size this stuff. I guess I'm a medium? I'm a medium/large in Uniqlo.. havn't bought any large stuff from Uniqlo but Im damn close right now.

Material and fit is shit
Oh yea? I thought at least Gitman sources nice material. Nothing can be worse than these Uniqlo extra fine ones, shits like paper. I'm mostly looking for something that's better than uniqlo / jcrew that can be koped on deep discount... thought maybe gitman would be the key. The fit might be good on me, since I can fill out a shirt that has a lot of fabric in the midsection and I heard this is a common complaint with gitman.

Spring is almost here if you can wait it out. More patterns from Uniqlo should be released.
Right on. Well I'll just purchase one shirt, see how I feel. I handled this shirt at Raleigh Denim and thought it OK. $100 for a made in USA shirt isn't bad. Wish Uniqlo used better fabric on types of shirts like this... the OXBDs are very nice but other stuff is sorta ehhh but who can complain I pay $20 for them wear them..
