Yeah, the contrast between Daike and McNairy in the WWM line has not reflected well on McNairy's abilities.

Has anyone handled the Saddler's Union stuff on the Corner? Any good?

They have great service.

Well he does make nice shoes. First I ever heard of him was when I saw a pair of brogues. They looked amazing. From then on all i knew until a few months ago was that he had nice and expensive shoes. I've this year picked up plenty on sale, to the extent that today's flash sale looks expensive, and they're great shoes. Comparably I picked up some grensons and while the shoes were nice the fit was off. His whole personality though is a turnoff for me, but until I can get comparable shoes at these prices ill continue buying. I tend to get the more traditional looking styles though.

His shoes are made by Sanders, a pretty decent company in Northhampton, though not by far the best. I'd say that Trickers are considerably nicer, in that "country shoe" style. What McNairy does offer are more interesting makeups. Of course, if I wanted say, a pair of standard Bertie chukkas, I'd rather just buy them Sanders, which are considerably cheaper.

McNairy footwear is solid, but the inconsistent sizing irks me to no end. The bucks fit big, boots fit small. Tricker's also has interesting makeups every season as collabs. I have no idea why folks go crazy for the Alden non-shell shoes, when Trickers can often be found for significantly lower prices.
