thanks

You will probably need a code. Last time around it was on the website but you had to google for it. I never got the mailing with the code.

Don't really know where else to ask so I'll give it a shot:

Does Rapha do relatively common coupons/sales? I want to try some pants and stuff but retail on some of the stuff is a bit high, and someone told me to hold off for price drops, but I haven't been able to find anything about discounts outside of end of the season clearances elsewhere.

I've never seen a Rapha coupon and their stuff almost never goes on sale (and believe me, I check often). If there's a markdown it's usually because of a limited size run of XXS's and XXL's.

They have the perfect market: 30 - 50 y.o. males with high incomes who spend lots of money on their bike (or their "toys") and bike gear. They don't need to go on sale. Even Rapha ebay listings will go for full retail.

They also have very limited stocklists which adds some exclusivity. The best deal is their bundle offers if you can stomach having to buy multiples and the shipping from the UK.

Riding shorts used to be made by Nalini, not sure who makes them now. I have a bunch of their jerseys and they are really nice, but they do put stuff on occasional sale and you can find them for discount here and there, but it is pretty hard work.

About to sell the limited edition Paul Smith green jersey they put out a few years ago - I just never end up wearing it even though it is ridiculously sweet. Every time I go to list it, I hesitate.
This is someone else's listing for the same: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Paul-Smith-531-Rapha-Le-Grand-Depart-Special-Limited-Edition-Jersey-/261098290348?pt=UK_Cycling_Clothing&hash=item3ccaabbcac#ht_500wt_1315

Ah, thanks. They have a US center now so shipping is only like $10. Just want to try the softshell trousers out since I have like a 10 mi commute but don't want to lug around pants and shirts and stuff in my backpack. My outlier pants do well but I'd just like to have at least two pairs to rotate

If you're interested in their cycling jerseys, they have a couple of smalls, a large and a XL in their clearance page (rapha.cc).

This thread is not good for me, and Rapha had a big sale recently that you probably missed out on.

Rapha always has a sale section up, you can get coupons here and there, and I believe there is always a 10% coupon floating around if you fill out a survey or refer a friend. The softshell trousers are great... just as long as it's actually cold because they are extremely warm.

I've bought my fair share of Rapha gear, but always on sale. Just gotta keep checking the clearance section, bundles, and sign up for the newsletter.
