i dont understand this. given the choices and availability of so many different designers why would you buy something that wasent your first choice? in other words, why are you going to buy something that you dont love? its not like they only made a dozen jackets in some off size.

its clothing not a loved one ... no need to settle.
Who does not love a staple item as a blue raincoat?
Besides Herno, Mackintosh is my favourite brand for this type of coat. I have the older version of this coat and dot not wear it for work because it's green.
I went to TBS for SNS Herning or another Nanamica coat. I have enough basics and really like exploring new brands (for me).

Does anyone happen to know if jcrew does a 20%+ coupon that would be valid for their online Aldens post-xmas? Searching shows this type of coupon but several years ago. I need a pair of Indys and trying to figure out if waiting another week or so would be a good idea smile.gif

I don't get the collective orgy over the TBS sale.  Everything looks boring and the discounts aren't even that great.

I really like Jcrew's Aldens but I don't think they'd work for a wide foot..they are all on the Barrie last I think?

Barrie is one of the widest lasts by Alden. I have a fairly wide foot, and they are perfect for me.

You don't know economics, but this was funny, made me laugh out loud at work.

I also don't get why he seemed to buy something he didn't need. I mean, you could also NOT buy stuff when sales are on (I'm doing it right now!).

same here, I don't get this whole thing of the servers crashing under the demand.

Overall their buys are completely boring, with a handful of interesting pieces inside. And when it's not boring, it tends to be just plain bad.

I don't like their buyers I guess :(

Discounts aren't really realistic also on some things.

But I wish I could've grabbed those yuketen ripple soles tho :(

if this is indeed true what economic principle would you use to describe your spending behavior? you said you really want x item but x item was not available so you bought an alternative. but in reality x is available but not available at a place for cheap fuck's. so, as someone who understands economics, such as yourself as we established above, what principle or model would you use to describe your behavior? laziness? lack of internet skills? missing your left arm? you know what, i think all universities need to have a class titled "althanis spending" because you are simply brilliant! fuck p. sraffa ... you make him look like a total fucking waste of space. but then again, i don't know "economics."
my comment, not meant to be taken as an insult by the way, was simply that i dont understand why someone in the vast world we live in with clothing stores all over the world can not find a find a common blend jacket.
perhaps what you should have said is this ... i really wanted this x but since x was sold out here and they are having a 50% off sale and i cannot afford to buy at full price where it is available you bought y (an alternative) instead. after all, this is what you really did.
i am happy i made you laugh at work. smile.gif
