I thought it was sex addiction. In any case, have you ever read one of those Newsweek cover stories? Here's how they work: anecdotal intro, big claim that's supposed to be surprising, statistical evidence from a couple of uninteresting studies that have been covered elsewhere (ignoring, or at best glossing over, any flaws in those studies and any contradictory evidence), a few quotes from experts, back to story of person from anecdotal intro, big claim that's supposed to be enlightening while wrapping it all up. You're always better off just reading a news report on the studies.
Has anyone ever gone to the 3.1 Phillip Lim sample sale in NYC? It's coming up this week and I'm wondering if it's worthwhile.
