Had a quick conversation with The Corner (Yoox) and I cancelled my order.
Seems, as stated, most people will find their size too big and usually size down 1.
The lucky ones have wider feet and can deal with the extra length.
Saved me some $$$ and the trouble to resell them.

Sorry i loled after reading your comment and then your sig. Im a narrow 8.5 and 40 gave me a right room to wiggle my toes. I live in an environment where thick socks are necessary so that might be a facor too, but whole size down was enough for me
