Ive been looking hard for a 'proper' original style black harrington. But i cant seem to find one that is at least true to the original lining style. I remember the 'slightly fluffy fleece red tartan lining' and slimfit style. It also had green silky lining in the sleeves. This is what a i remember was 'proper'.
The 'Combat' brand is far from a true Harrington. I got one as a gift and it took all my strength not to show my disappointment :). This harrington was more bulky with a plaid ordinary flat tartan lining. Ive seen many many brands claiming to be selling original style but none seem to be that so i thought id ask other ex skinheads / mods in the UK as i now live in Australia making it virtually impossible for me to get around and find one myself.
I bought my first Harrington at Rugely or Walsall markets in 1982 for about 10 quid i think. The last time i saw one like mine was in about '87. Surely there is still someone selling them somewhere.

Cheers
A

From what I skimmed of your post, it sounds like you know what you want but have trouble tracking it down. if that's the case, have you looked into a proxy service like SutoCorp or SuddenLee? If the webstore that carries your harrington of choice won't ship to Australia, perhaps a proxy service will. Peace
