Since copying and pasting seems to exceed Claggy's abilities and FWIW, here's why I'm such a fran of Tirallieur*

1) For whatever reason, my eye is usually drawn first to whatever's wrong. And some things are wrong here - e.g. collar gap(s).

But that isn't at all the impression I get from this photo.

Every time I see this one, the vibe is just cool. This is, for me, the perfect illustration of my theory that clothes are - far and away - the least important element in having style.

The whole thing just works and in a way that I can only admire, not successfully imitate.

I didn't knew I had to give a little explanation, you didn't told me, Clags! :slapfight:

I agree with your thoughts - and thanks! On this one in particular, I would also say that you aren't a million miles away from this tradition either... in fact, if I had to classify people in some (always partially) arbitrary way, I think I would put you in that same group. I also agree with Vox that it's nice to see this way of dressing is still around when it would otherwise seem to be almost complete dead in wider American society.

My initial favorite list was NOBD's, but the last two just don't do it for me. They are both excellent excellent excellent. Just not quite in the same league as NOBD's previous three selections. Feels a bit incongruous to me. Betel's is my favorite list. It clearly appeals to my sensibilities.
