So,

I have a GREAT Sartoria Saint Andrews DB coat, that was part of a suit, but the pants were lost in a move. Ugh. It is a 6X1 (6 buttons, 1 works), and am wondering the prevailing opinion of the Forum as to an alteration to make it 6X2? Is there a danger of compromising the aesthetic? Is a one-working button DB coat out of style? I see SO many 6X2 out there; it fits well, and I love it, but am wondering if perhaps it's just not done? Do advise as to alterations of this kind, if you would be so kind.

Thanks!
