What're your guys opinions on dress shoes with jeans? Specifically ones that look similar to these: Dress shoes I'm thinking for nights out to a nice bar or restaurant, I'd pair those shoes with a nice pair of dark wash jeans and a striped button-down shirt.

Personally I think it looks ok, as long as the jeans aren't too slim-fit, which makes the shoes look overly bulky.

Okay shoes - nothing to write home about, and you could do better at sale time. Also, don't do the darks jeans with dress shoes thing unless you want to look like a German tourist standing (in vain) outside any nightclub between Los Angeles and London. In Paris, well, in Paris they do things differently. But honestly, the nineties are over.

Sorry to continue to beat a dead horse, but check out Bluefly right now. With the MISSEDYOU593 code, you could probably (depending on your size) get a pair of Moreschi dress shoes in a similar style for about 30 bucks less. It would have an all leather sole, but personally if you are looking to buy a dress shoe, then why not make it an all leather sole?

I'm a frequent offender in this department. I wear all sorts of dress bluchers with jeans, but I prefer shades of brown over black. That particular model isn't very appealing to me but will work with jeans.

they're too dressy for jeans IMO.

I'm also actively hunting for some good shoes to pair with jeans and everything from 'clubbing' shirts to a navy blazer. Haven't quite found it yet.... some Gucci and Prada have come close.

I wear dress shoes with jeans quite often, especially on weekends. I am not a sneaker fan. I think the look is fine, and as stated many times in the past, receives many compliments, especially from the womem.
Regarding the actual shoes, IMO and very limited experience, I would agree that you could do much better, and try to get leather soles. I am not a fan of rubber soles.

I wouldn't mind derby-styled shoes with jeans. Those are next on my list after black cap-toe oxfords (when my brown ones aren't an option.)

Funny I have the same ankle boots there Marc but in brown suede. Anyways I have a black pair of Cole Haan Country Collection Westwoods which I think are great with jeans for they are very casual yet still stylish.

They also come in some other nice colors.

marc37, I don't see those rubber soled Aldens on their site, are they an older model? That's the best I've seen so far in my search...

Holy cow, their Norweigan Front oxfords are GORGEOUS. I haven't see any split toes that would suit my needs better. The price is a bit more than I wanted to pay for the needs for this shoe (though there is no doubt it's a multiple-use shoe) but alas... Thoughts on those black Norweigans with the jeans/blazer/dress shirt combo?
