Here is the first prototype of our Thomas Mason fabric shirt, unfused Semi Spread collar. MOP buttons. We've tweaked how we make the unfused collar for a cleaner overall finish.

Thanks for the advice. The gap expands when I raise a hand. I can make the gap smaller by pulling the lapels down, but the jacket seems to want to open the gap when I move.

Besides the new line, how to check which suits have the new factory cut?

Also, does anyone have an idea of how much it costs to ship a suit from the US back to Canada? I have already used the first free return, and it would not be fair to ask S&M to cover the return cost twice.

We've been getting a lot of requests for custom for unfused, but I wanted to reach out to the larger community for feedback? I'm thinking of doing an unfused on the upcoming Thomas Mason OTR group and MOP buttons.

Absolutely. This is how I order all my custom shirts.

The new suits have the basting stitches over the lapel hole.

I think shipping back to Canada was around $17-20 if I recall correctly.

If you're thinking of FW already, any response on moleskin trousers?

Haha. I'm a 15.5 sample size. Almost my entire wardrobe is made up of experiments.

That looks great. Would any future MTM shirt orders that specify an unfused collar be made the same way? I might have to start thinking about which cloths I might want to go with...

Yes. All future unfused collars will use this construction.

Not much in terms of sport coats. Really difficult to pin down cloth for SS. But we're way out ahead on FW already.

Should have a group arriving next week or so. What are you looking for?

So no 48Rs in the suits this time?

Unfortunately not. We had a pretty poor sell through with them. We can still MTO them on request.

I'm a regular lurker on this thread and finally made my first S&M purchase: the new Guabello navy birdseye suit. I ordered this morning and sent an email immediately after, but am posting here in hopes that Rick or someone will see this before my suit is shipped.

From what I gather, S&M can do custom/MTO suits but the website isn't set up for this process yet. I'm hoping it's possible to make a few stylistic changes to my suit: side adjusters instead of belt loops, soft shoulders, and wider lapels. Rick, if I could PM you with an order # or something and we could discuss this, that'd be great. I don't mind the wait or the upcharge for MTO.

This is fantastic. In terms of shoulders and lapels, this is the look I'm after (except I'll stick with 2 button for my suit, though this 3-roll-2 is executed perfectly.) @Claghorn, what are the specs here for the shoulders and lapels? I could be wrong, but those lapels definitely look wider than on S&M's standard OTR jackets.
