There isn't 30 contemporary on this run. It's a really slow sell for us.

I guess the new oxfords got delayed, weren't they anticipated for the end of Aug?

You are going to kill my wallet if the oxfords and the flannel trousers drop within the same payday hahaha

The first group of Uni Stripes have shipped. Blue, Pink, Lavender. Should be around the same time.

They were supposed to be here end of Aug. But as anyone knows anything in manufacturing, any one delay in the chain will delay everything.

What sort of Thomas Mason fabrics will be coming out? Im a huge fan of their goldline and to get a TM Goldline MTM shirt for around $100 CAD is simply unreal. I think im on my 5th or so. What sort of patters will we be seeing and at what pricepoint? Goldline or no? Any solid whites?

Not Goldline. The goldline we were able to get before were from an importer who was clearing leftover stock for cheap. He no longer has any stock available. Goldline is very expensive. I think Propercloth is running Goldline for $250 USD.

We going direct to TM/Albini and we'll be starting with core items from the Silverline. 100/2 mostly. Solid white in Twill, then a bunch of blue and blue stripes. These will be $135 CAD. But will feature MOP buttons, and unfused collars.

Goldline feels like wearing silk - once you go goldline its hard to get used to wearing anything else! But remember before you mentioning you got them at a discount and I consider myself lucky to have been able to purchase 5 or so goldline shirts for $100 each.

Will the Albini/Silverline solids be available in MTM? I just put in a order for 2 solid whites (twill and royal oxford) and a goldline - would be willing to wait to get one of the solid whites in a higher quality fabric if they're coming soon. Or will they be RTW only? 15 Slim RTW fits me like a glove with the exception of being slightly tight in the chest so I order my MTM basically the same as the 15 RTW with an extra inch in the chest.

Burgundy Uni Stripe is under production. Fabric was delivered late to us. Should have it a couple of weeks after the first group.

RTW only or any MTM?

Edit: Just noticed @mdubya already asked this question.

Hi Rick,

Just to clarify for us pear-shape folks - will you have a run of classic shirts and 38 slims for trousers in the next batch arriving?

I found a post from 2015 quoting MTM trouser prices:

Quote: @spiermackay

For custom trousers, you are looking at starting point of $150 for some basics cloth (navy, black, grey), with a majority ringing in at $175 - $225.

Is this still accurate? What about dressy cotton fabrics? Thanks!

spier, why don't you carry any pant in 29? 36 drop 7 is quite common in suits right? Many brands do not carry pants smaller than 30 so I had to take in the waist. But you have many pants in 28, so why not 29? Last time I tried 30, it was too large and I suppose 28 would be too tight normally.

Btw, I got 5 custom shirts and I am happy with the quality. Though the first time, the sales guy messed up my sleeve length so he had to order a new shirt for me. No extra fee was charged.

Drop 7 is not a normal drop.  Most are drop 6.  Your tailor can take a 30 down to a 29 but I doubt many places carry a 29 in pants.  This of the other odd sizes then 31, 33, 35, 37...go bigger and tailor smaller though 33 is common in some circles, it might as well be a 34.

Well, I believe 31,33,35 are very common in most brands. There is nothing unusual about odd number size, the unusual part is most men do not wear pants smaller than 30. Drop 7 is very common in suiting also. 80% "slim fit" suits are drop 7. If you think majority of slim fitting suits are not "normal" then every one on the street should be boxy and sloppy. True, 29 waist is hard to find, only some fashion brands carry this size, but 28 waist is also rare

Just a note on customer service:

I'm waiting for my second MTM commission, a flannel PoW suit. With the 20% credit offer, I figured I'd pay for my third right now (wool/mohair fresco) and just delay its production until getting the PoW suit and seeing what, if any, adjustments needed to be made. I had no problem with this: the first MTM jacket from them had been so close to spot on that I was confident I'd want the third after seeing the second.

I messaged Rick my request. He declined, saying he'll honor the 20% and that I should pay later, after receiving the 2nd suit.

That's how you build loyalty right there.
