Appreciate any feedback but feel jacket just needs slight sleeve shortening. Surprised how well the sleeve pitch, and back turned out given my structure and posture.

That looks amazing for OTR. Hem the pants and shorten the sleeves 1/4 inch and it'll be spot on.

The jacket quarters are too open hence the shirt triangle showing above the pant waist.  I'm not sure how to fix that, maybe let the waist on the jacket out a bit.  It looks nicely fitted in the waist, but a little too much for my taste. Excellent fit otherwise. Is this a slim fit suit or a contemporary suit?

Welp, had to go out last night and when I checked just now, size 48 brown gun check is sold out on pre-order.

I may have another reserved for our downtown shop. I'll check with my stock manager and put that on hold for a couple of days.

The 48 specs are the same as the model 2 suit jacket.

Does it look too back with shirt showing?

It's this...listed as contemporary

Not terrible IMO.  Talk to a tailor.  I think taking out the waist could help.

This was our Model 1, so the button stance is approx. 1.5 cm higher than current jackets. On current jacket, this is a non-issue. That said, if the waist is released a tiny bit, it will close the quarters a bit covering most of the exposed shirt. It's actually a great fit for you overall.

We only have the one set until the stock arrives later this week. I'll try to get a set down there by midweek.

Same as the 40L Suit Jackets.

These are the 40L Contemporary:

Chest: 43.3"

Waist: 39"

Shoulder: 18.1"

Sleeve: 26.2"

Length: 31"

I think a third colour in future gunchecks (a blue/purple in future browns, especially) would help me, personally, be less on the fence about buying these.

Looking forward to the upcoming runs from the new factory.

The Blue Gun Check is Navy with Brown, but does have Black Yarn woven in as well. There is a bigger/close up pic a couple of pages back which may be more clear.

Hey Rick,

What size jacket do you wear? Since we are the same shirt size I would be curious. I currently only own one sportcoat, an unstructured Ludlow one from J Crew in 40R that I never wear lol, but I would be interested in something versatile for fall/winter or possibly an unstructured chino fabric as others mentioned.

Rick, if i'm not mistaken, one of the first sportcoat previews posted was the wool/cashmere herringbone navy, is that coming at a later date or has something changed?

That's the model that they have in display in the store. I'll assume it's coming in one of the next waves as it's not part of the first five.

It feels nice and snug at waist, wondering letting out will make it roomy ..
