Gentlemen,

We have release our new Casual Oxfords. No interlining in the collar. Locker loop. Contemporary is cut 1" shorter to better wear as an un-tucked length.

Same great cloth. Same C3-K collar.

Canada Post is extending for 30 days, so should be good. If not, we'll be shipping through UPS.

Gentlemen, we have a fairly big announcement to make......at least for us!

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Some of you may know that we were in talks to transition to a new suit factory that will take over all our OTR and MTM production. The deal is done and finalized and we made the transition on July 1st. The big deal is that that factory that we moved to is a JV with Zegna! Zegna is a 50% partner since 2003. They wanted better access to the Domestic Chinese market and return they provided the "know how" and skill of high end suit making. The factory is greatly considered to be the #1 top quality suit producer in the country.

We feel extremely lucky to have had everything line up for us to make this happen. The quality of the finished product is absolutely outstanding. The drape and balance of the jackets is beautiful and the overall construction is softened from what we were previously producing. The best part is, the price will remain the same!

The MTM division was set up specifically by Zegna to cater to the Luxury end of the Domestic market. They only work with a handful of companies in Europe and we will be the first company to work with them for MTM in North America.

All MTM orders from June 26th onward will be produced by our new factory. This further solidifies our commitment to outstanding quality and we hope creates even greater value for our customers.

Will the new factory also be handling all MTM shirts, or just suits?

Casual just refers to the style changes to make the shirt more casual (no collar lining, locker loops, shorter length). The fits that we know as Slim and Contemporary are the same as they always are as I understand it.

Hope that helps clarify.

Edit: Calgary Stampede starts today, so it's jeans and SM madras for the next 10 days haha

A few new suits just added.

http://www.spierandmackay.com/men-suits.php

Charcoal Sharkskin - An absolutely fantastic shade. The sharkskin lends itself to a really subtle salt/pepper colour on the cloth

Indigo Blue Texture - A really saturated and intense blue. Very much one of the strongest colours of the season in suiting

Mid Gray Prince of Wales Check. A Classic Suit with just enough to make it interesting.

Ughhh I wish your contemporary fit pants had an 11" rise. Would buy at least two suits. Those look great, I hope that the indigo texture is still available by the time I make up my mind/finally cave, because that shade is perfect!

You can always custom order the trousers. You'll be paying about $50 CAD extra. I'd have to check on cloth availability, but I'm sure we have stock.

So if I purchased two suits with MTM trousers, would that be like 412 CAD x2 + 50 CAD x2 = ~950CAD?

I don't understand how some of you say that you wear a full spread shirt without a tie. I bought a linen cotten full spread shit and the collar is so spread, it looks ridiculous without a tie. I am still hoping that Rick extends the collar point by 1/4 quarter on the classic semi spread so I can buy a few more shirts.
