Rick I wanna buy a few of those cotton-linen blend OTR shirts but they're still not up yet :( Please help me spend my money.

@Claghorn looks great, that's one of my favorite shirts from S&M.

What are the collars like on these shirts like? Are they stiff and fused like the other dress shirts with spread collars, or is it unfused or lightly fused and softer?

Did you make any changes to the cut? I find the prior chinos to be flattering, but the legs were pretty slim. I had to size up in the waist in order to give my legs a little breathing room.

The old stock ones are pretty great for $15!!!

I like that at that price I don't care if something happens to them. I went on a boat cruise and someone spilled beer on mine. No big deal...

I agree with the praise above. After I bought my pair, they have basically been the only pants I've worn on weekends since this summer weather has hit. I should probably buy another pair....

Promised I'd share all the S&M stuff I wore for graduation but only slowly getting around to looking through the photos. It's my mission to make you sell out of this suit. It's phenomenal. Obviously a S&M shirt, as I only have 4 dress shirts that aren't by you guys.

@Spex the old chinos are perfect for these swampy Houston summers. I've got 4 pairs and if I'm not wearing linen-blend pants (or shorts) after work, I'm wearing these.

I bought 3 shirts today. I tried on a few suits, unfortunate that they all have a slight bowing to them. Not sure if this can be fixed?

Agreed, I bought this suit on your recommendation and LOVE it. It's just different enough while still remaining fairly conservative. One of my favorites at the moment

How much of a bow? Did you try a size up?

Here's one of the suits I've received. Is there anything you guys would suggest doing to the jacket? Only alteration I've done so far was hem the pants

Can those who own SM suits comment on the quality?

Stiff, but I suspect I can ask for something lightly fused and softer next time (@spiermackay?)

At or above Suit Supply, though I only have one S&M suit at the moment.

At or above Suit Supply level?

Lets get real here. Spier and Mackay is a bargain brand, there is a reason why they are priced at where they are. I applaud them for that but you getting what you pay for. A value suit that will do its job. Its good if you get them on sale. To compare it to Suit Supply is laughable.

They are good for what they are but lets not go too far here.

On a positive note their shirts are great for the price.

Please do explain where you see SS being significantly better in terms of quality. Given the fervor of your response I'm expecting to learn something new and shocking.

Size up would be too big. It had a bit of collar gap as well. I will be in store again.

  Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I'm not a fit expert, but the jacket looks outstanding IMO.  There's a bit of wrinkling in the back near the armpit/shoulder, but it looks like the jacket needs a pressing and that it will be fine afterwards.  Details on the suit.  Slim or Contemporary?
