Thanks @spex and @SouthOfBloor. Going to try the white pin oxford. Pretty sure I already have the blue and it's a nice fabric.

Rick, might I suggest adding a purchase online and pick up in store option?

Rick,

Any chance you have an indigo linen in 16 slim still? Plans to reorder if not?

Also, I have their newest poplin, and their specially-made twill.

Both are great. The heavy 2x80 twill might eventually be too warm for the hottest summer days, but it wears like a bulletproof vest. The poplin is slightly more prone to wrinkles, but much better than other poplins I've had. The poplin is not too translucent, which is also unlike other poplins I've had.

I also had an older white (warzone oxford?) which I don't think they carry any more.

Is Slim or Contemporary closest to Brooks Brothers Regent/Slim fit?

Slim is slimmer than the old BB Slim fit (Fitzgerald, or whatever it's called now). The armholes, especially, are smaller. After trying SM, I strongly prefer them to BB for my body type (thin and athletic). BB just doesn't understand that some guys are broad on top and narrow everywhere else.

Looking at the size chart, it looks like the chest is the same in both contemporary and slim? My biggest problem is usually tightness in the chest and shoulders, not around the waisst. (BB extra slim/Milano doesn't work for me for this reason.)

My first impression of the contemporary fit suit is that the pants are very slim. Almost too much so. I am not a large man either (5'10" 165lbs). I've done some lifting in the past but my thighs are definitely not tree trunk-like.

Edit : also the higher armholes will take some getting used to. Quality though seems high for the price point.

BB Slim (Fitz) is cut too tight for my lats and delts and then is huge in the waist. My shoulders extend way past the should seams, and my lats get dug in to by the armhole.

The SM Slim is a better fit for me up top, and then slimmer through the body. I should say that I'm not one of those "skin tight shirt" guys. The SM slim provides exactly what I would describe as a normal, but slim, fit.
