It also says "All SPIER & MACKAY shirts come with incredible, porcelain like, natural shell buttons." Are you saying that your off-the-rack shirts use shell, but the custom do not automatically? I would have thought that custom shirts especially would have shell buttons, since...well, they are custom and more expensive! Please clarify. Thanks.

Edit: OK...I now see that the page I reference mentions 3.2mm shell buttons and you are talking about thicker 3.8mm buttons. I probably stand corrected! :embar:

I asked about Mother of Pearl buttons.  I believe the custom shirts use the 3.2 mm shell buttons, but you can request the thick MOP buttons.

Yes. Default buttons are the same as OTR. 3.2 mm river shell. Very porcelain like. You can request the 3.8 mm White Australian MOP for $10 CAD/shirt.

Just picked up this pindot suit - 40R contemporary. Wanted to get some thoughts on overall fit. I could think waist suppression for the jacket, and perhaps sizing down in the pants? Maybe go to the Slim fit model?

Thanks!

^Would definitely not get the pants slimmed further. You have a bit of pocket gaping already; last thing you need the hips to be tighter. The legs will fall nicely have a classic/contemporary look once you get them hemmed.

All in all, great OTR fit on the jacket! Congrats. Thanks for the pictures.

in your email, you state that prices will be going up next year. Specifically, what will be going up?

Beautiful.  Order incoming.

I don't have my measurements yet for custom shirts so what would you recommend?

Shirts and suits. The CAD is now at 0.71 USD. Our pricing is still reflective of 0.93-0.95. We won't raise prices by the same gap, but current prices are simply not sustainable. That said, our prices will still be very, very competitive considering the quality/value we offer and US customers will still maintian a considerable advantage.

You can place an order and fill the measurements in with dummy numbers like 0's and advise measurements after you figure them out.

How does the exchange rate relative to the USD affect you?

All our purchasing is done in USD. Very few suppliers will work in CAD. We tried to work in local currency but thats even worse.

What will the new prices be at for suits? Will this be applied to all existing suits or future suits?

MTM dress shirt prices?
