This would probably be the order I'd wear them in:
The last 3 are all pretty close though.
Light and Medium blue, primarily for me. I think I'd be open to a light brown or pale green stripe.
On the side, I have this Brooks Brothers buttondown tattersall shirt, it's a simple solid navy grid on a white base, the squares are maybe 1x1cm and the fabric is a pinpoint oxford I think. It's getting along in years and I'd love to see such a fabric offered in MTM or OTR. I don't see it in the current custom offerings and I can't remember if it was offered in the past (probably was as it's a basic pattern). I enjoy a pinpoint OCBD for business wear because it doesn't get frumpy by day's end and this pattern seems incredibly versatile to me, I even find myself wearing it with a block/thick striped tie when I'm feeling a bit more trad.
For reference, imagine this but with navy instead of red/blue:
Probably in this order
Light blue (own one, love it)
Lavender (have a poplin in a stripe like this and would love it in an oxford)
I'll cast my vote for very minimal padding, a triple patch with no flaps, and half lined.
No shoulder padding, patch pockets, lined only in shoulders and sleeves, and a very light canvassing in chest. You should also offer matching pants with it.
That's what I was getting at. Offer the option of buying the pants too, if you were so inclined. I would potentially be interested in a hopsack triple patch pocket blazer suit from you guys.
Late to the party. Here is my input.
I like medium blue and pink. I wouldn't mind trying burgundy as well.
We're going to finally run a proper hopsack in Navy. Question is styling?. No Shoulder Padding? Patch Pockets? Full lining or Half Lining?
Suggestions? I have a basic idea of what we're going to do, but thought I'd put it out to the community first.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Pretty much align with other gents here. Patch hip pockets, barchetta chest and minimal to no shoulder padding. I would buy the pants too.
Do you have medium gray hopsack? I would buy a medium gray hopsack suit from your full canvas program.
