Managed to pick up this seasons navy Mock Leno sportcoats from both S&M and Natalino. First time ordering from Natalino so was exited to see how they compare. Both sportcoats are nicely finished and stylistically they are somewhat similar. The Natalino sportcoat has slightly wider lapels, and a slightly higher gorge height. Both have 3 roll 2 lapels & spalla camicia shoulders. I would say the shoulder appears to "puff out" more on the Natalino, making the shoulder more pronounced. Arm holes are also higher on the Natalino. Fabric appears to be the same on both jackets. The Natalino sportcoat is half lined, whereas the S&M sportcoat is quarter lined, which to me is preferable for a summer jacket. I ordered the same size from both (contemporary 40L from S&M and a 50L from Natalino). The Natalino is significantly roomier all around, whereas the S&M feels a little trim on me. Overall I think I have a slightly preference for the Natalino based on the fit/proportions, however I do unfortunately seem to have a slight roll just behind the collar on the Natalino jacket, so perhaps the S&M is better suited for my posture. Oh yes, I visit South FL often... smokin' hot. Did you notice much of a difference between the 2 fabrics?
I was incorrect on the wheat SC. It is wool/cotton/linen. The two were quite different. The wool/cotton/linen was very lightweight but traveled well.
The all linen has a nice weight to it so the linen didn't become a wrinkled mess when just thinking of wearing it but still plenty of breathability.

Friday I will be going to happy hour then dinner out and intend to wear the linen SC so will post pics.
I believe the fabric is Sondro.
Here is the SC I just sold.
SC, shirt and pants are all S&M.

Just got the Mock Leno SC delivered yesterday - really great jacket, highly recommended.

Does anyone find it fits a bit more snug than other SC's in the same size? I also haven't purchased a SC from Spier in about a year, so maybe the sizing has changed a bit?

Obviously feel matters, but as is I think SM looks much better all around. I might be inclined to experiment and size up and try that out, if it feels close to too snug

Holy guacamole! I went to S&M website to check out the mock leno and a chatbot box came up lower left corner of page with "Welcome to Spier & Mackay! Please let us know what we can assist you with and a customer service representative will be with you shortly."

Thats a really nice looking SC. Great for my climate. I have on order..

How true is the S&M mock leno color to the web page?
I was curious because it appears to be a much richer blue than their hopsack offering on their website.

Thanks

I got that in the grey a couple years back and love it. It's a nice fabric for our hot weather (in New Orleans, similiar to South Florida). My favorite is still the VBC mesh jacket I bought that same summer, supremely airy.
