Sartorio by Kiton at Pitti Uomo 85 - Page 2

Thanks, I guess I will finally check out Barneys
post #17 of 51
^Yuppie - my advice on Barneys would be to be very, very wary of the in-house tailors. If you end up buying, stick with something that only requires very simple alteration (like cuffing a pair of pants) or be ready to take it to a tailor that you can trust. The in-house tailoring services leave something to be desired.

Funny that you should say that. I've been there once, in 2005. Got a suit, and was very unhappy with the alterations work. Haven't been back since.

agreed-- in house are no good. my guy at barneys has his personally recommended tailor do all the work, to include functional buttonholes, and turns it around really fast for me. his tailor has my cc# handy, and charges me for the expert tailoring

Anyone have any Sartorio stuff? Thoughts about it? Reasons I want to check it out are 1) looks high quality 2) looks unstructured & therefore casual.

I've only tried on Sartorio. I'm no expert, but I don't recall the jackets I tried on as being unstructured like my Boglioli jackets. Felt more like a typical albeit slightly more casual take on a Neopolitan jacket. Perhaps slightly lighter than Kiton itself or Sartoria Partenopea, but did not feel completely unstructured.

Interesting, thx.

They have different jackets, some more structured than others. Some completely empty inside.

How does Satorio compare to Stile Latino in terms of quality?
yep, i'll be back to the USA permanently in a about a week and a half, glad to answer whatever i can from my limited collection. here is my stuff-- definitely a soft shoulder, but jacket isn't completely unconstructed like boglioli / as mentioned above.

honestly,i feel the Attolini made Sartorio is nicer than a  Kiton one i once owned

but i can't tell about the details of differences:embar:

anyway,Sartorio is very high quality and fits slim in my limited experience.

Sartorio by Attolini? I has confus

I thought Kiton and Attolini were competitors, and Sartorio was an offshoot of Kiton...

Attolini made Sartorio prior to Kiton - it was a while back like early 2000s IIRC. Very nice stuff from my experience as ColoRLOw mentioned.
