Wouldn't necessarily agree with your reasoning but do appreciate your view, thanks HF

This FC is over. Can we put Pingson in the Hall of Fame with his Bust?

No fat lady singing dear heart, let it take its course...

I gave a few votes, estitchy is coming close to Pingson. I'm surprised that timo isn't getting more votes. I think Clags owe us a full fit pic, cause that looks fantastic, still he got a vote among others. biggrin.gif

Pingson killed it, got my vote. Has the look and the wares...

Everyone did a very good job of incorporating all the right material elements here - so a big well done to all the entrants - but it's fascinating to me that no-one, not even Pingson or Timotune, Murlsquirl, Sugarbutch or Stitchy, who I think were the best, came close to actually capturing that essence of Italian CBD. Cleav and TTO looked excellent, for example, but still somehow entirely British! This makes me think that's not really about the clothes and shoes, but about the hair (and grooming more generally) and a certain ultimately indefinable cultural affinity that perhaps you really have to have grown up in to be able to carry off, even if you understand all of its components on a rational level. Either that or it's having your photographs taken by paparazzi... ;)

^ I'm Irish! I guess it just isn't in me. Thanks for the compliment though.

It is far from being over but you're running away with it. I challenge you to a duel...actually, I take that back cus you would kill me there too.

Has there ever been a joint victory? Right now Stitchy, Pingson and Timo are all taking the lead.

Thank you sir! While I am not a first timer (I just took a long hiatus), I am still a beginner -- especially compared to our esteemed SF associates.

By the way, I thought upr_crust's entry was excellent style, even if it did stray somewhat outside of the challenge.

Thank you, coldsalmon. The reason that my entry strayed outside the challenge is that there was no way for me to stay within the constraints of the challenge - the constraints and my style are quite different. As I said originally, for me to affect classico con sprezzatura is like asking the Paris Palais Garnier to become the Seagrams building in NYC.
