Check the pics in the first post, at least half of the suits worn are DBs. Some worn unbuttoned for that extra sprezz.....

That's great, I wish DBs were accepted as CBD in countries besides Italy. I suppose I'll go navy on navy, one of Berlusconi's favorite colour schemes.

DBs can't be CBD in London?

Well, finance/the city is very conservative at the moment. No one wants to draw too much attention to themselves.
Let's just say that I'd get laughed out of the room and possibly get sent home to change. It might just fly if I were 30 years older and a rainmaker, but even then I probably wouldn't show up at a client wearing a DB.

Monkeyface I didn't include this pic here but it does appear on the Crimsonsox thread. As I said I know who I'd rather be! Plus you'll do the look justice whereas he...

You know it's coming! I'd save your money though JRD, I don't know if I have a chance with this crowd...appreciate the vote of confidence though. The sitting Marzotta will be my inspiration.

I've worn a very plain DB and got away with it as not attending meetings etc. Nor am I an antiquated rainmaker I hasten to add) MFace is right in that in the City and to a lesser extent elsewhere no-one wants to be looked at or perceived as a bonus bloated banker!

That's good to hear! Maybe I'll give it a try in a couple of years. My apologies though, didn't mean to imply that everyone in the city wearing a DB is a senior rainmaker, but it definitely helps with pulling it off.

I will follow this challenge with much interest. Personally, I don't have an occasion which requires CBD this week.

Suit is half italian. It´s a Paul Stuart by ISAIA suit.

None taken Monkeyface smile.gif I'm not in the City or Finance, so in the circles I move in a DB is not seen with the accompanying stereotype/baggage. Quite a few of us young guys are sporting them though mwink[1].gif

Subscribed, and as long as there's no requirement that the items actually have been manufactured in Italy, I should be able to participate with what I planned to wear tomorrow anyway.
