These whole-cut Miguels are very very nice.... thinking of pulling the trigger on these

Yes. Not as heavily antiqued as they are on the website which is actually my preference.

I won't pretend to be an expert on leather. I got these as a replacement for my DC Lewis (via Kent Wang) boots which I had to sell because they were too big. Leather seems to be on par with them.

Maybe Daniel can chime in with leather comments. I know they don't divulge too much info.

I had totally disregarded that boot bc of the antiquing online, but yours looks great!

thread revival gents.

Any further updates reviews of CU shoes and boots. Seems like the fav is the Louis boot, which I am also looking at ordering.

Wow those look great. What size are those and how is the quality the rubber soles? Thank you sir

Patliean1, Thanks.  They are U.S. size 11.  I'm normally between 10.5-11.0.  The soles are softer feeling than I thought they would be but they are holding up very well.  I tend to be rough on shoes, catching the toe as I walk etc. and no damage to the edges yet.  I live in Michigan and have been wearing these in the snow/slush also; traction is fine.

I'm new to the world of awesome (and accordingly priced) shoes and what I found is Cobbler Union provides equally awesome customer support.

I have small-ish feet for my height - I'm 5'11" and I wear a US 9.5 - 10 size shoe. Given Cobbler Union's shoes were in a new price bracket for me I decided to send an email to customer support and got a response from a guy named Stephen. I sent him pictures and measurements of my foot, then he consulted with the owner and they suggested a size. Two shipments, a few weeks and many email exchanges later I arrived on a UK 8 for both the Francis III and Noah II models.

A lot of effort and back-and-forth went into this from the Cobbler Union side and I'm happy to be ordering my first pairs of insanely beautiful kicks!

I don't think you would be a 8UK. Most likely 8.5 or 9UK if you are a 9.5-10US
post #73 of 74

^ yep, only 1 size down on UK, unless those are your sneaker sizes

Heh, then maybe I'm really a US 9 and have worn too many sneakers!

Thanks for the notes.
