Why brands continue to offer GMTOs for boots this time of year baffles me.

If that were on the Louis, I'd be in immediately.

Any idea on how wide that last runs? I am typically an 'E' width.

Not my size, but like the way they look broken in a bit.

Went in to CU's Atlanta retail spot the other day. Service was excellent, they offered me a drink, although it was like noon, lol. Anyway, I tried on a few different pairs, all of which felt pretty good, but, admittedly, they seemed to favor fashion over comfort. I'm a Allen Edmonds/Alfred Sargent kind of guy, and the shoes that I really liked at CU didn't come with a 360-degree welt, nor was there any resoling program, etc. I figure for the same price as AE, one's better off with with what one gets from AE, despite style points. AE is a bit old man-ish, true, but those shoes will last a lifetime, and that's what you're paying for.

Hello, I have just recieved a new pair of MTO Cobbler Union monkstraps in pebble grain in cognac. I like heavy looking shoes that are comfortable and go with casual wear, these are the perfect jeans / cords / chinos shoes. I requested a 360 welt for chunkier look and more protection against rain, I have a similar pair in Chelsea last and 270 welt, but the these have a different vibe. I wouldn't use these shoes with a suit or tie due to the rubber sole and last. Cheaney and C&J have some similar models, but MTOs have an special feeling and Cobbler Union's MTO program is great.

A very welcome addition to my collection, well done Cobbler Union.

The specs :

- Model : Francis / double monk
- Leather : Country grain
- Last : Inman
- Sole : Vibram
- Construction : GY
- Colour : Cognac
- Lining : English racing green
- Welt : 360

Can someone comment on the fit? Interested in the tassel loafer. I was going to get tassel loafer from Alden but abrebden (spelling?) is a bit too narrow for me in the toebox (EG 184 is also too narrow, CJ 325 looks a bit weird on my flat foot)

Some of their designs look really good, like the Spectator and Louis. Any more input into their quality?

I've got 4 pairs of their shoes and a chelsea boot prototype (it's supposed to go on sale in the fall) coming in a few days.  I know the store and the owners fairly well.  What would you like to know?

Probably some more details about the quality of the shoes.
