Anyone ever hear of Cobbler Union?

So the other day someone from Cobbler Union's social media team commented on one of my Instagram posts telling me I should check them out. A quick browse at what they have to offer, looks like what they're making is decent.

Here is their site - http://www.cobbler-union.com/ - keep in mind I have absolutely no relationship with them...

From the little research I've done they're Spanish made, all GYW and all their leather sole shoes have channeled soles. No idea on the quality of leather they use. Their finishes seem fairly bland and nothing special.

Anyone have any dealings with them? At their price point, I personally don't have much interest....

Well they seem to be new their site was created a few months ago. "Creation Date: 2013-11-10 12:04:28". Nothing seem to be in stock, the models look nice but all seem to be available for pre-order? These are some serious red flags.

I pulled the trigger on a pair of the William II and I can't wait to get them. I've been corresponding with Daniel and he's been very helpful and will deliver my shoes in person in NYC. I'll post a picture here when I get them in a couple weeks.

You keep mentioning quality, but just looking on your Tumblr, I see inconsistencies on your quality...

These were just on the first couple pages. That looks a little sloppy to me. Perhaps they're rather minor issues, or even expected for lower cost shoes, but in $800-1000+ shoes to which you claim your shoes compare with, they seem to fall short.

I've never seen anything like that with Crockett & Jones handgrade or Vass - just two makers that fall in your competition price range.

I received my first pair of Cobbler Union shoes yesterday. These are the William II on the City last. I think that they're a good looking pair of shoes and the leather seems to be of really good quality.

Thank you! Let me start by saying that I'm not an expert but I do know what I like. They feel really good although I've only tried them on for a short period of time. I'm just starting my good shoe collection and the only pair that I currently have that I can compare them with is an MTO from Meermin. And to me these feel superior in every way, from the leather to the aesthetics. I'm sorry that I couldn't be more of a help but I really like them so far.
