Ooh, where'd you hear that?

I went into the SF store today and asked about the next shell event/trunk show and they said it probably wouldn't be till late this year (around the same time as last year's). They also said they haven't heard anything about AE possibly being the buyer of that large Bourbon shell lot from Horween.

I was advised a more revised mto program maybe in the works i.e. choose material model sole. No welt changes, stitching, or medallion swaps etc.

They've been saying that for the past year!

Maybe so, but I'm an optimist

Guess I'm saving up just in case anyway.  This could get costly.

If you had started saving when they first announced that they were working on this, you'd have enough for an entire collection by now.

Unfortunately I got into AE after the end of the MTO program.  This is the first I've heard of any sort of MTO resuscitation.  Even so, with the price of shell being what it is, I would hardly call what I could have saved up for a "collection".

Then you need to learn to scrimp on nonessentials. Are you paying for food? That's for suckers who don't want shell. Lodging? Ditto. Dumpster diving and underpass living are the path to cordovan bliss, my friend. I hear mdubs lives out of a vw bus he reclaimed from a family of raccoons. Bed in the back, row after row of immaculate shell lining the walls.

Great makeup! Be not afeared. Simply use a spray waterproofed of your choice. Using a bit of masking tape to protect the calf where it borders the suede whilst spraying is a good piece of advice that I was given here 3 years ago.
