Somehow I guessed as much. Next time you're here in NYC, we'll have to hit up Abraco bar in the Eaat Village.

1/8th, it is always good to see you here. Your Natty CXL PTBs are looking great, especially with your pants.

Can anyone fill me in on what the details are of this shell MTO deal?

Basically you can get any (normally priced) shoe in shell cordovan leather, but that is the only change you can make.

Are we still doing phrasing?

How do you order? Do you have to do it in store?

You can go to a store or call the main number on the AE website1-877-817-7615 and describe what you want.

I handled everything with my SA on the phone. Didn't need to go in the store.

Would be interested if they have sold out of these, though.  I remember reading that they were only going to do 500 shoes (?).

You can also change soles if it goes with the last.

Since I prefer the double Rendenbach soles which most AE cordovans come with I'm usually good.

Still wondering if I should get a tophy lug sole on my Daltons? Anybody else done that?

Strong to quite strong.

That seems like a great all round casual shoe. I love my CXL boots. I know you are loving those.

I think you mean Toby mini lug?  They are a great choice for a Dalton especially if most/all of your other shell is on leather soles.

Here's a set on a 2014 GMTO brown shell Bayfield.

Or do you mean a topy?

Lots of opinions, I like the more hearty Toby mini lug for a Dalton.
