Do the brass eyeltets.
Do you have any idea of the chili welt would go with all of that?
I've been trying to find some pics online to get an idea and I can't find any good reference.
And  do you happen to know if they can do colored edging on the chunky Vibram  soles?
I have to order this by tomorrow...

Also leaning towards the mora in black shell...

I'm not sure they'll let you customize all those options. I'm pretty sure you can only specific upper color and sole choice.

Sounds cool tho

Quite possibly the greatest thing ever said.

So they would not, as expected, let me customize the Daltons in any way. Except Soles.

So I ordered the Mora in black  shell cordovan. I like the shoe, I like the way it looks and I don't  really wear boots all that often since I left the Army twenty years ago.

I did buy a pair of Burgundy Cordovan Daltons off of ShoeBank that I may have sent in to be resoled with the chunky Vibram sole. Or I may use that cobbler back east so I can customize a bit more. The BNelson guy.

Couldn't you do the Long Branch in Shell? That would have given you the lug sole...maybe you addressed that earlier and I missed it

I don't like the speed laces. So yes I could have done that but it isn't exactly what I want. That and, for some reason, the Long branch hurts the top of my left foot. I know  how weird that sounds. I like the Dalton. I'd like it more if it was an inch taller but it's a great dress boot. The Long Branch should is a nice looking boot but I just  can't wear it.

Are they allowing customizing in leather type? I'm looking for a Long Branch in English Tan Dublin and a leather sole.

No - this is a shell cordovan event. You can order most AE styles in any of the three standard shell colors they offer (black, brown, burgundy) and choose the sole without paying an SMU/MTO fee. Nothing else.

I think they suspended the MTO program so Allison can cashed out her vacation.

This is a unreliable speculation to keep this thread going. Post some more pictures folks.

2014 MTO Long Branches, Golden Brown CXL, 511g last (blank slate era of MTO)

Brown upper stitching, independence collection lining, brown flat welt, leather midsole, Toby outsole.

No perforations except toe medallion.

Kind of a pre-Normandy.

Still looking forward to the new rules MTO program,

but won't be surprised if it is not announced until well into 2016.
