So I'm not trying to recreate the Alden shoe by any means. There were some asethetics on the shoe that appealed to me.

Gotcha. Makes sense. Thanks for the clarifications. :-)

It took me far longer than it should have to figure out what was meant here (in case anybody else is similarly confused). smile.gif

Just stopped home and my MTO pebble chili Jeffersons were on the porch. Of about 30 pairs of AEs, these are by far the best looking pair I have. Absolutely beautiful. Pics to be posted later tonight.

MTO Jeffersons arrived today. I ordered these just 3 weeks ago. Last week I emailed Allison to see if I could get them at the $349 sale price. Originally I was going to pay $495 for them. She obliged. I couldn't be happier with these at $349, and even happier with the quick production. The wingtip seems a bit lighter color than the rest of the upper, but I am really liking this slight color change.

Question: How would you lace these? Bar lacing or a modified criss cross lacing?

CHILI GRAIN CALF
DARK BROWN UPPER STITCHING
FLAT CHILI WELT

WHEELING AND FUDGING

INDEPENDENCE LINING AND INSOLE
DOULBE INDEPENDENCE OUTSOLE
EXPOSED BRASS EYELETS

Looks fantastic! This along with a few others are turning around my opinion on grain leather. But the best news is the quick turnaround which I hope is also the case with mine haha. Forgot to mention I actually also placed a few MTOs for the webgem macneils

Those are very nice! I'm debating whether I should get bourbon or walnut if these come up again.
