Time to get those orders in.  The MacNeil 5 WebGem has gotten me thinking about whether I want to go for something along these lines (natural CXL from Alden):

I would probably prefer this on the regular MacNeil last (7), but the 5 of the MacNeil 5 would be fine too.

I truly have MTOs on the brain right now.

I think they made the change because of your order :rotflmao:

I also received the same info from Allison

"... I wanted to make you aware of the some more recent changes to the program. Due to costs we will not be able to use the Rendenbach outsole on any shoe that is not a cordovan, the independence lining, insole and outsole will only be offered at the $495.00 price range and the footwear will be charged at time the order is placed..."

If these are the only changes, I can live with them.

I am discouraged about the fit. They run slightly big on me.

That is why I'm terrified of loafers. Maybe a thin insole?

Those are fantastic looking loafers!

Tongue pad helped me a lot on a pair of loafers that was a bit too bit. A thin terrycloth insole works is perfect too, allows you to wear them sockless but you can wash the insole and they will also fill the void.

That was the beauty of the program and what made AE's offer for SF members so special--the fact that you can add these premium options without additional costs. Now they're transitioning back to a normal/average MTO program...

^ Which is still a great MTO program IMO. I for one am appreciative for the opportunity to participate in the program both past and present.

And they're still waiving the $150 MTO fee. Let's not forget that.

They could have gone the way of Alden and not offer MTO at all anymore.

"I was sad because I had no feet . . . until I met a man who had no shoes."

Seems particularly apropos here.
