Well, according to Allison, I was the only yahoo to MTO the austerity brogue webgem. I thought for sure one of y'all would jump in as well.

Hopefully it turns out well!

I liked the style but I could not get past the pinking. Looking forward to seeing what you put together though.

What are the specs?

Just pretty basic. Though I'm considering changing the dainite sole to V-Tread. Any arguments for or against?

1079 BROWN BURNISHED CALF
EXTRA BURNISHING ON TOES
STANDARD INSOLE WITH HEEL PAD AND SOCKLINER
BROWN FLAT WELT
LIGHT BROWN TRANSPARENT EDGE DRESSING
TONE ON TONE UPPER STITCHING
DAINITE OUTSOLE
Thank you for your order - Allison

You know, i haven't had any experience with anything but Dainite, but i would also like to know if the others are more malleable, and still just as weather (snow, rain) resistant.

It sounds great. Too bad they don't have brown Dainite though. The V-tread would lead to a bit of a smoother looking edge trim compared to the Dainite. I think I would prefer the v-tread with the light brown edge.

I'd be very curious to see a pair of these after a half dozen wears. The design strikes me that they'd show creasing really badly, without any broguing or perf designs to draw your eyes to. Depending on fit, some guys may get perfect little creases in the center of the vamp, others might get creasing up near the toe. A perfectly smooth shoe like that with lots of real estate for creases, might be asking for trouble... Anxious for anyone to post pictures though!

Oh Yeah, that thing. I did see that, it was just very hard for me to look past that design. I also didn't like the pinking. Is that normal on an austerity? I am sure that a MTO of that could actually look very nice...

I've seen some with and without. We shall see how it turns out. On another note, first time I've ever paid full retail price...

Meh, I don't really sweat creasing.
