I'm a 3E, and I've found it available in my length (10.5) in almost every shoe in every line.
same here, perhaps he meant 2E, which i understand isnt readily available off the shelf but can be done via MTO on many models.

Came across a MTO shoe site today called Awl & Sundry. Seems to be a sort of Indochino business model for shoes. Custom, goodyear welted shoes made in NYC starting at $350. Interesting concept.

Has anyone used a $35 off loyalty card before with ordering MTOs?

Black shell Rutledges have arrived!

These were spec'ed to be a complement to my ruby shell Carminas:

AE can do sleek when it wants to.

And with this . . . I report, somewhat wistfully, that the last hole in my collection (black shell dress shoe) has now been filled, and my racks are officially full. Any future purchases will be either (1) something that absolutely cannot be resisted, or (2) purely a nibbling at the edges.

So . . . what shall I start buying next?

I think I reached that point quite a while ago, but somehow new holes in the collection keep appearing...I think your next purchase should probably be additional shoe racks.:D

I know . . . never say never. But, I now have 12 dress pairs in the rotation, 50 (!) casuals, and 10 sneakers. It's time for me to enjoy what I have for a while.

Anyone here receive a pair of shoes back from recrafting and they didnt fit right anymore? I got back my pair of strands after they recrafted them due to a defect and now the instep/midfoot is really tight. Wearing a 3E means I have good width there normally and there was only a few mm gap in the laces prior to sending them in. Now I have a full inch between the top eyelets. Could they have accidentally lasted them to a 2E or E last?

If they were new shoes, I'm sure the laces would come together more after a bit of wear. But I wouldn't think they have much more stretch in them.

I had a pair of AE balmorals resoled by B Nelson and they were a touch tighter for sure than when I sent them- I wore them in the house for an hour or so and they seemed to loosen up fine.. My Wilberts were re-soled by AE and they also seemed tighter but with a Blutcher style shoe it really is not a problem
