FWIW, I placed my order with Allison on May 5th and these arrived while I was out of town this past weekend. So less than a month.

I love this news. I just finalized my first MTO today with Allison. Here's hoping I get my brown shell MacNeils before the Fourth!

It really makes me curious how the whole timeline works out. I am going on 4 months for my mto. The sad part is while i understand that things happen it is a summer shoe and I would have prefered to have it by now.

Congrats on your first MTOs! I love the Longwing Pattern. Did you do anything unique aside from the Brown Shell, for example independence lining or brown edging?

Wow, your shoe must have failed inspection 3 times or something. Not sure why it is taking soo long.

According to Allison my shoes were going to be inspected early last week. Makes me wonder if they failed again. I wonder if I would have the option to back out, if they have to be made a third time, I may not receive them until July/August.

I don't actually own any longwing bluchers yet (I'm set for life on balmorals), so I didn't do much out of the ordinary...

Brown Cordovan
Tone-on-tone stitching
Brown split-reverse welt
Wheeled and fudged edges
Light brown transparent edge dressing
Double Rendenbach outsole
Red lining leather

With light brown transparent edging, those should look pretty cool... Red lining is also pretty interesting, although not seen by the average bypasser...

I just received these MTO MacNeils in white suede. I'll try to post some more pics later. Very pleased with how they came out!

MacNeil
Lily white suede
Brass eyelets
Standard leather insole
Buff split reverse welt
Double leather outsole
Khaki outsole stitching
Tan ink

Nice! Love the cognac sole and the darker grommets with the white suede!

I lost count. Got a couple in the pipeline that should be cool. A couple MacNeil and Leeds experiments with Walnut Calf and Natural edge dressing. I've kind of soured on Shell for the moment... not sure the current price is worth it and there just aren't a lot of interesting shell colors at this point in time.

Ok friends. I need your help. I've tried on the gross looking Voyager, and found it to be one of the most comfortable everyday shoes I've ever tried. And when ordered in different sizes (11 3E left and 10.5 3E right), the best fitting. Well, better than Clark's, rockport, and new balance. And after those brands, there aren't many other options for my super-wide duck feet.

So I've decided to MTO the Voyager, and I need some suggestions on how to make it look less.....ugly.

I'm considering:

Natural or golden brown CXL
Tone on tone stitching
Darker brown flat welt with no ticking (fudging)

Any comments/suggestions?

Is burgundy CXL too formal or severe a color for a sneaker?
