What about a group Mto for the eagle county? just choose from one of the make up from the mto thread and see how many folks would go in with. I vote these navy eagles smile.gif

I agree about the discontinued, but would rather the Promontory Point or Bayfield. I'm scared of the 2-Last.

The 2 last is fine, just need to go to an E width if you are typically a D. The cap does start pretty far back on the Eagle County leading to creasing that some people may not like.

I am still down for the Walnut Shell Promontory as my vote. Basically call it the same makeup exactly but change the welt to chili. It would be unreal.

I own a pair of the Williams and the Eagle County, both in 9.5E.  The EC's fit great, and the Williams are still much too narrow.  Which is odd since they're the same last.

And as a reminder of the 'botched' MTO Promontory Points that I bought from bl@ster:

But for those of us (Levi and me) who are already a full 3E, there's no wider option.

Ah yes, I see the issue.

Looking to fill some gaps, and am hoping to get some MTO Dundees and possibly some Delrays thanks to this thread. Nice make-ups gents, keep the pics coming... lurker[1].gif

If the base model wasn't discontinued and the shell color was currently available, it would be $725 if you ordered it today (if you mentioned you were a SF member/this thread).

Both big, and, ultimately defeating, ifs.

If we can convince AE to get some walnut shell, I'm in for almost any configuration.  Promontory, eagle country, bayfields.  I would not really care so long as it's a walnut shell boot.  (butyle sole sounds very sensible though)

I don't know what shell insole liner means, but if it's what I think, it might make the entire shoe a bit too stiff?

A quick count suggests there are 11-ish people (including myself) that would do a walnut shell boot.

In guessing it would take that plus another 50-100 to get them to stock a color that they don't currently.

Isn't it just that Horween isn't producing it anymore?

I am pretty sure a lot of us would buy multiple pairs if they got Walnut Shell Cordovan. I personally would get a whole slew of pairs in the color. Cap Toe Balmorals, Double Monks, another Strand, Jefferson, Rutledge maybe, Boots (if they let us do the old models). :-)
