Actually, it's on the orthotic last 511G, which is a big reason for consideration (I have pronation issues). There aren't any other orthotic models currently in production, and I don't want something that looks like a dress shoe (winter park, etc).

I suppose if the gridiron is deep enough to support an additional insole I could give it a try.

Looks very nice and golden! 👌

Haha I get this weird feeling you have shelves and shelves of these MTO shoes in a closet or bookcase like a museum display 😁

The design of the Voyagers looks like a bowling shoe to me.  I suggest doing a Google image search for bowling shoes and see if any of the pictures inspire you.  I did this and pretty much decided that if I had to MTO a Voyager, I'd probably go with a conservative two tone where the leathers are natural and dark brown CXL with tone on tone stitching.  I might also change the sole, but I'm not familiar the the sole on the Voyager model.

It's a shame you don't want something that looks like a dress shoe.  If you want a sneaker, maybe it's best to buy a sneaker?

Several of the golf shoes are made on the 511G last. I wonder if AE could make an orthortic shoe based on one of the golf shoes.   The 511G lasted golf shoes usually have a very comfy padded insole.    If I had the need for such a shoe, I'd be doing an MTO for a Redan for First Cut because I like saddle shoes.   The Haskell is also plain toed blucher golf shoe on the 511g last.   I think that could be very interesting if MTOd in a different leather with a different sole.   All three of those models are currently on sale. :)

Now there's a thought. I'll call Allison today to see if they can make one of these golf shoes with the orthotic insole.

If not, I may just chuck the whole idea and buy a pair of ugly Clark's that I'll have to replace in a year again. I suppose these will end up being beaters after all...

I don't like the look of athletic canvas sneakers unless I'm actually jogging, and the width of my feet severely limits casual sneaker options.

I'm not a fan of the uniform color all the way around on those tan leeds.

Blaster has some awesome creativity designs. I really enjoy seeing his innovative designs. He has definitely done quite a few MTOs. But if he enjoys them and can do them, more power to him. I wouldn't mind seeing some paired with outfits.

On another note as mentioned in the AE thread, I sent the natty cxl macneils to be remade.

Update on this: I got my natty cxl macneil 5's back after I had them remade due to flap mishap and loose stitching. Overall the shoes look good and the flaps line up properly except there is loose stitching again on the left flap on the left shoe which I was okay with. I didn't notice until I tried lacing them up that one of the metal eyelets on the inside is all messed up. Is that something a cobbler can fix?

Wow, I think someone like B. Nelson could fix that, but I am not certain. Anyone else had to fix something like that?

Can AE fix it? Did it come to you from AE like that?

WTF?!?  Looks like somebody bashed it with a hammer.  How does that not get caught by inspection?

Ugh yeah I know and I was excited to wear them tomorrow. And yep that's how they came from AE. I'll email Allison to see what she says just in case. It's disappointing for sure

This one looks good. I like this one better than the previous one. Besides who's hating? It's okay if someone doesn't like a design of another's
