Pumas are cool, although they tend to wear out a lot faster than their cousin Adidas (the knobby soles never last very long for me) and I think that their design has gotten more mediocre over the last 2 years. Â I still wear Avantis, Temos and Meiles on occasion, though these days I like the rounder, less streamlined look of Reebok Supercourts and Adidas Samoas (and I find that Adidas and Reebok are coming up with cooler colors than Pumas these days.) Â And of course "fat sneakers" lie Nike Vandals, Dunks, or Terminators go best with full cut, bootleg jeans. Â Also, NIke has the most innovative designs. Â Check out any Nike Quickstrike sneaker (especially the Nike Laser series) against any of the Puma designer series (except the Mihara ones) - absolutely no competition. Eric, I like the Dolce and Gabbana sneakers (and the Dsquared ones are cool too), but find them too streamlined to wear under most jeans, and I am against designer sneakers on principle. But if you got them on sale (I know that the retail on those babies is over $300,) and on deep, deep, discount, good on you.
