+ DRIES VAN NOTEN + - Page 17

A few online Dries retailers I'm aware of that you might try checking (though you probably already know them):

http://www.thecorner.com/gb/men/dries-van-noten/online

http://man.totokaelo.com/dries-van-noten

http://www.barneys.com/barneys-new-york/men?prefn1=brand&prefn2=productAccess&prefv1=Dries%20Van%20Noten&prefv2=isPublic

http://michelbrisson.com/collections/men-dries-van-noten

http://www.yoox.com/us/men/shoponline/dries%20van%20noten_d#/d=28&dept=men

A couple of shirts I've been trying to hunt down from SS15, if anyone has any leads?

Only really getting into DVN recently so I missed out on all this stuff :(

(there's a 52 on Yoox but not sure on sizing, I'm normally a 48/50 in Dries)

Thanks, also try e-mailing stockists if you know the specific pieces you're looking for. Opening Ceremoy, IF Soho, and Modern Appeal Clothing all stock Dries in-store but not online, not sure if there are any Canadian retailers that do the same. Mohawk General Store is another NA retailer that carries Dries online.

Sotostore has it in 48 and 50, european store though so you would need a proxy. I'd assume some NA based store has it too if it isn't sold out.

If anyone's curious, the coat has a 52-53cm p2p in 48, a tiny bit slim but pretty TTS. Was asking the taobao store. The peacoats fit oversized.

Thoughts on these lug soled derbies? I like the shape and color of the welt. But worried the lug sole would look weird. I live in harsh weather so they would be practical if anything. I hate crepe soles.

nothing weird about lugs.

never liked the stacked leather look though.

I feel like the non-stacked heel version looks unbalanced?

yeah it's more the contrasting natural leather sole/heel

“It is easy to seem trite when even beginning to quantify Bowie’s talent, genius, courage, and creative potency. He bent mores, intrigued, confronted, and embraced us as one of many personae. He opened the great, big gates to our future and sparked in us that creativity that proves vital even to this day. A highlight of my career has been receiving David Bowie’s permission to rework the original parts of the recordings for Heroes as the soundtrack for my women’s collection for Autumn/Winter 2011-12. That same season, my men’s collection had been directly inspired by his style and attitude. The models walked to a reworking of Golden Years as a soundtrack and all had their hair dyed as the shock of red we see on the cover of Low.”

Dries x Bowie make a perfect match. Thanks for posting those.

Fall 16 collection showed today. Sgt Pepper meets Fillmore poster vibes.

Handled a few of the SS16 pieces as they've started to come in to my work. Most of them I find I like better by themselves than in the context of the runway, but I'm still not huge on the Marilyn prints.

Picked up a pair of wool moto trousers that should be arriving shortly! can't wait

Did anybody here grab the FW '12 navy white collar coat that was sitting on grilled for a while?  I was just about to go grab it  :fu: it's pretty weirdly-sized but perfect for my weird body so I'd love it if this fictional/possibly existing person would hit me up if this doesn't work out for them.

On another note the stockists I've talked to in person seem to all love SS16 (or their buys at least) but not sure if they're just trying to sell me something

You can always try to ask the buyer to repost. Not sure how likely it is, but could happen.

I don't like all the buys my work did, but there are definitely some things that either got kind of hidden or just look way better outside of the runway show.
