Anthony Delos strikes again!

I picked up another pair of shoes from the estimable M. Delos today at his picturesque Montmartre shop. It was a bit of a surprise as we had expected the making of the trees to take a few weeks, but it's great when a plan comes together.

The odd styling is entirely my doing -- I was inspired by the Lobb St James "Rodney" models with the blunted wing tip as well as the Lobb Paris RTW model on the cover of the excellent men's shoe book by Jean-Jacques Ficat, L'Art de se bien chausser. I also liked the side details of the C&J Balmuir. This time, we decided on no antiquing. Let the shoe age the way the good Lord intended it. Delos suggested a slightly thicker sole, still with bevelling.

His shoe bags now have an embroidered name on them (his):

Exquisite RJ, I am also especially fond of the Balmuir "scoop". I also immediately though LSJ when I saw the photos.
