My wife has used Dege and Davies and was happy with both. She was blown away by the available fabrics she saw on a recent visit to Huntsman, though. All three travel to the US. The Dege experience was many years ago, so you might want to check with them.

All of the Savile Row houses that I know of do women's bespoke. Richard Anderson, Poole, Huntsman, A&S, etc. I can't say whether one of them is better or worse with women than others, but just like when a man tries to decide among houses there is a stylistic choice that is being made when one chooses a tailor. I would advise your friend to play around on the web or visit the row if she has the ability and decide which house strikes her fancy stylistically.

Kathryn Sargent, formerly of Gieves and Hawkes, has the reputation of being an excellent choice for women. If my memory serves me correctly she is also quite expensive. In his book Richard Anderson mentions that cutting for women can prove to be quite a challenge, especially with regard to the obvious.

I have been doing more and more recently. Right now I am doing a white tie for an actress who is playing Greta Garbo. They only do suit a certain kind of build though and this is very difficult to explain to a woman, basically a voluptuous or larger woman does not look good in Savile Row style tailoring IMO. I have made suits for Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.....with that kind of basic material though its not hard to make them look good!
