Thread Starter
I bought this bad boy last year at some crappy consignment store nearby and its been hanging in my living room for a few months and have had a couple people, including my girlfriend, say its tacky. Are they crazy, or am I crazy?

I'm afraid there is a Goodwill vibe to it.

Reminds of this:

Is it a real painting or just giclee?

It's tacky, believe me. There's no merciful way of saying it. On the other hand, it's bordering on camp. If it is to be counted as camp, you'll have to present it in an "ironic" context to get away with having it on your wall. Good luck.

Perhaps a velvet Elvis would bode well.

Personally, I think it looks terrible. Looks like something I would find in the Salvation Army store.

Note- I give straight-up opinions, sorry if it came across as harsh!

I like it.

I think it's cool too. That being said, it would be touch to design around.

It might have been ok with completely different colors.

Maybe if you pair it with this:

Is it signed by Bob Ross...or just from the "Bob Ross school"?
It's like a combination of lame Salvation Army seascape and lame art school Warhol rip-off. With a little (lame) Bob Ross in there as well.

looks like the cover of a straigh-to-dvd horror movie

It certainly looks like it's from the "Starving Artist" school of art.

Oh, I saw it and instantly thought of 'ships of the dead' echoing behind the living, and the path that goes to which of them? But I am only an engineer and a poet, so what do I know? But I wish it wasn't so green-shifted. Regards, Huntsman
