They say a cheap camera could take pics as good as an expensive one.

Was wondering what you guys use to take your WAYWN pics.

that depends on how good you are at using your cheap camera...and the type of camera...and a million other things.

I use a canon digital ixus50...sd410, i believe, in America.

I haven't taken a WAYWN photo in a long while, but I will get to using my Kodak Z612.

It's pretty easy to use and has tons of settings you can mess with. I also like the heft of it (not fond of tiny cameras).

Lighting is far more important than the camera itself.

If you stick any PnS on a tripod with proper lighting, it'll produce better photos than a dSLR with crappy lighting and shaky hands.

In the only photo I posted, I used a 1D, 17-40L, 420EX bounced from ceiling.

When I finally get some wire to properly mount my mirror, maybe I'll try some proper self-portraits with strobes... but I don't exactly have an attractive mug so I'm not sure I'll be so inclined to do so. =)

Nikon Coolpix L11

Like $130 at Target.

You can easily carry it in your pocket, 6.0 megapixels, ISO 800, 2.4" LCD screen, and has a 10 second delay timer for taking photos of yourself for posting on Styleforum

The cool colors were sold out when I bought mine ($10 off week!) so I got brown.
