Black suit/brown shoes?

i just want to hear peoples opinions about wearing a black suit with brown monkstraps? im assuming its a no no...how about a blazer blazer, jeans and brown monkstraps? thanks

I'm for that, do it myself. Rarely brown shoes with black pants though, and never with a black suit.

I'm not really a fan of mixing black and brown in almost any incarnation, though I think the lighter the shade of brown the better it looks. A light tan or reddish brown shoe goes much better than with chocolate. Sometimes the rules exist for a good reason, and this is one I almost always adhere to.

Well then I must be better than you because I am Irish and Italian (with a bit of Spanish/Moorish tossed in) So I get the best of both worlds
