No plans to add an additional width or change our current one right now. Definitely understand where those who like traditional American shirtmaker's oxfords are coming from with this. Perhaps we will reconsider in the fall!

I like the current, slightly thin, placket. My vote is to leave well enough alone.

Damn, I absolutely loved the new Blackwatch Linen that was indigo dyed:

Looks like it sold out insanely fast :(

Add a hidden, not extra confusing or unnecessarily complex option for the standard wide placket!!! It's not just American sportswear, it's on lots of other shirts too!

I don't care as long as they keep the current size. Otherwise I'd be gone. In my opinion, wide plackets are pointless and look stupid on non-fat people.

I lean more toward no placket, so this wouldn't really be something that impacts me, but I say the regular one they have now works just fine for my tastes...

Big fat fatty here reporting in, just to say I'm a huge fan of the linen cotton Oxford fabric. I've already gushed a bit I know but every time I put it on its softer and more comfortable and lightweight.

Also my wide, fat man placket on the Black Fleece shirt I'm wearing currently is awesome.

That is all

Which did you get?

How much shrinkage did you get on the oxford?

just received my favourite shirt ever—Proper Cloth or otherwise. It has a Stiff English Spread collar, which is perfection. It's not floppy like the Soft collars, but not cheap-looking and scratchy like fused collars tend to be. It has a really British feel to it and I want all my shirts to have this collar.

And now they're discontinued.

Can someone from PC—or anyone on this forum who knows the MTM shirt industry—recommend a place to get such a luxurious collar? Maybe the plant that makes the PC shirts (in Malaysia?) can take an order directly, or maybe someone else who uses that plant will agree to make me shirts with the Stiff but unfused collars.

I've settled for less for far too long. I'm at a point in my life where I want things my way when I'm spending money on them.

@saskatoonjay Hey Jay--So, we are able to accept orders on these collars for another few weeks. You can reorder your current shirt as a hack to still have the collar on it, then switch fabrics if you don't want the same one. We allow this as a way to more gracefully phase these out for those who like the collars and want to order more before they're gone. I'd say they'll likely be gone for good by end on May. Our factory is not set up to take individual customer orders, so I think it wouldn't be worth the time to pursue that route. If you like that style, check out Turnbull & Asser. Definitely a British feel to the stiff collars. Hope that answers your questions.

@ccallis,

Thanks for the reply. I actually tried that hack, and it let me do everything except ADD TO CART. Can I order via email instead?

@saskatoonjay Yeah, that should work.

I will report back! I bought it for a specific event so I haven't actually worn it yet (though I've had to wash it twice... Long story lol). After I get it into my regular rotation I'll report back!

If this is a question about which placket I got, I did plain front.

Just please never change the Soft Roma or Milano!
