This Valentine's Day, wear your heart on your spalla.

Bring out your FU jackets.

Here are the rules for the challenge:
  • shirt and tie are a must, (don't forget to put on some form of trousers);
  • the jacket can be an odd jacket or, if feeling slightly ballsy, as a full FU suit ensemble (this is not compulsory, of course)

Added conditions:
  • fit must be from the challenge week (no archived fits);
  • multi-voting will be allowed;
  • don't tell your friends that you put up a fitpic for a Friday Challenge, especially if they're Australian.

Deadline for submission of pics is Sunday Feb 16, 09.00 CET (=UTC+1).

Voting ends 48 hours after the deadline for submissions.

Good luck and good health, gents.

No Clue about FU? Here are some clues - heed at your own risk.

Need more inspiration? Just google "pitti uomo"

Note: pinstripes aren't FU enough - unless yours is Hosni Mubrarak-level pinstripe.

THIS WEEK'S CONTESTANTS:

The first contestant has entered the challenge! I hope this jacket is FU enough.

100% cashmere Belvest jacket
SuSu shirt
Exquisite Trimmings dark chocolate grenadine
Fumigali cream linen PS
Epaulet trousers
Meermin museum calf MTO (in need of polishing after the past few rainy days)

Recycled look from yesterday, as the only entity saying FU in the metro NYC area today is Mother Nature - attire is practical (corduroys and hiking boots).

I don't know if this is FU enough for this contest, but it's certainly eccentric enough.

My FU jacket contribution.

Good stuff so far, here's mine from yesterday's WAYWRN:

On the way to lunch on Monday I ran into these two. They were doing an amateur "Candid Camera" stunt using a trick rubber tongue thing. The were telling passers-by that their tongues were stuck together by a piercing.

I stopped and looked. While I was studying their tongues to see if I could help, they did their stunt, and started pulling on their tongues, which got all stretched out, and then came off on one side, and they started screaming.

I ruined their act, as I simply stood there without any reaction at all. There must be some sort of Valentine FU in all this beyond my Glen Plaid tweed jacket.

Brooks Brothers tweed jacket, blue OCBD, and cotton sweater vest, Hardy Amies tie, Thomas Pink pocket square, Land's End trousers, and Allen Edmonds shoes.

SF Family:
Sam Hober (tie)
NMWA (square)

Couldn't ask for a better time for my first post. The color palatte may be a little muted, but I'd say this counts as an "FU" jacket:

This is pretty FU in my universe:

And red shoes with tassled laces definitely count as flash (okay, they're burgundy, but anything brighter than darkest oxblood will stand out in my neighborhood).

so much FU up in here. here is my attempt, its about as crazy as i have available.

Grey on grey to say FU to more snow. Have a good weekend everyone.

Hope this is FU enough. It's windy...

As was famously stated by Nathan Hale: I regret that I have but one **** to give for my challenge entry.

My fuckiest fall/winter jacket, with which I couldn't get a challenge worthy fit.

And my official submission.

J

Not sure if this really qualifies as an FU jacket, but the black and white houndstooth definitely elicits a fair share of comment in the real world.

Good day, gents. FU all. Red sack blazer, red cufflinks, red socks (not shown), red heart pocket square. Get at me. xoxo.

Hi guys, from early week. FU-osity is not off the charts but then the blue bands don't really shout in this pic

This is the most FU jacket that I have for summer anyhow.

Steven Hitchcock bespoke 3 piece Lovat tveed suit, T&A bespoke yellow shirt, Hoper PS, Dolbeau raw silk bow, John Lobb double monks - angry expression by me!

Going green ...

Cheers,

Ac

Do you measure lapels horizontally, or along the seam of the gorge.

I don't know if my jacket has 4.5" or 5" lapels.

Or what pants I am going to wear with this atrocity.

Not sure if this is true but a rep from Dormeuil told me the cloth for that Mubarak suit (Which they made) costs $10k a yd.

Not sure which of these two sources are more reliable, but that sounds about half right. Appears to be H&S, not Dormeuil.
John Serafino on Pitt St offers the personal pinstripe. Only robber barons and military strongmen need apply.

Think how dope that would look with "sugarbutch" as the stripe. I may have to start a clothing line to justify doing it. You'll help me out, Tira?

I have seen that pinstripe with name here in Mexico but from Scabal. Price is stupidly high when you put it in pesos.

As for the challenge, I might be in, I wore the outfit that would have qualified today and didn't took a pic. :(
