on the stf superfuture thread some people were saying a long cold soak would shrink as much as a short hot soak but less indigo loss. but after the cold soak i wanted to get more shrinkage and did a hot soak the next day.

actually they didnt lose that much indigo, it only looks like it because i soaked them in a small sink that didnt have much water, if i would have soaked them in a full bathtub the water would have looked very light blue.

I think they look fine, and should make a good project, but you might want to invest in a lower rise pair as well. It's a good idea to have different types of jeans in your wardrobe anyways.

Sure, what would your price range be? I'd personally go with something low rise and either straight or tapered. KMW's 1980 would probably be a pretty good jean to go with or potentially 5EPs LDB in rigid. Both will set you back a bit over $200. If you want to spend less there are certainly less expensive options.

I'd get a pair of KMW 1980 as well. I'm breaking in my Skull 5507 and Nudie RRDG right now because I want to save the KMW for college. They look so fucking nice and the denim is absolutely amazing. Slim fit if you size down though, but not tight.

ill check out those styles, but im looking for some low price options (levis, H&M) until I develop my sense of style a bit more. also, im trying to lose some weight so Id prefer to get that handled before making the investment.
